Drag Meets brings some life to The San Andreas State by adding various fully functional Drag Meets around its territory.

In them, you will be able to spectate these one-on-one races, bet on your favourite Racer, and even participate yourself!

Features
  • Immersive implementation: no user input required, the Meets spawn automatically when relevant to the player, and manage themselves without player help.
  • Car variety: Over 100 cars have been tuned to participate in the Drag Meets, with more to come with each update
  • Driver ability: each driver has its own skill, divided into Reaction Time and Gear Changing ability, which affect how well they perform in each race.
  • Betting system: before each race, you can approach one of the drivers and bet some money on him, adding a new layer of fun
  • Player participation: you can participate in the races by parking your car in the designated area. You'll notified when it's your turn to race.
  • Each Meet includes cheering crowds, other parked cars and its very own Countdown Girl, who marks the start of each race with a Flare Gun. A barrel marking the finish line is also there.
  • Meets can be disbanded by calling the police (disabled by default to avoid compatiblity issues with Police mods).
  • Some Meets only happen at night, on weekends or both. Lamar will message you when a Meet is available so you don't miss any.


WARNING
Not all rigs can handle the +30 vehicles on the LS Airport meet. If you experience a performance hit or your game crashes while you're on a big meet, I suggest you edit the Meet's file and lower the car limit to 15 or so.

INSTALLATION
Copy "Drag Meets.dll" and the "DragMeets" folder to your /Grand Theft Auto V/scripts/ folder.

SETTINGS
There's a config.ini file you can edit inside /scripts/DragMeets/. From there, you can decide if you want races to be disbanded by police or not, and enable/disable random reaction times on the drivers.

You can also edit all the meet files to your likings, to make them be available every day instead of weekends, or change the kind of cars they allow, for example.
The same goes for the Drivers file, explained below.

Reccommended Mods
- Auto-Center Steering Patch, so all the vehicles steer correctly when parked.
- Any visual mod of your choice.
- Any handling mod of your choice.

Adding your own vehicles to the Script's files
There isn't a easy-to-use tool yet, but you can use what I did to add new vehicles.

While on a meet, go to your car and press the spacebar while stopped. The game will inform you that your car has been saved to a file. Open that file, copy its content and paste it on the \scripts\DragMeets\Drivers\Drivers.xml, inside the Drivers bracket, between the other drivers. You can edit the file to your likings, just use other drivers in there as reference.

Known Bugs
  • A rare bug can occur where the Meet can't load properly. The game will inform you if this happens. Just reload scripts pressing INSERT and the Meet should load properly now.
  • Sometimes, the cars have difficulty reaching the Waiting Area. You may need to bump into them so they find their way around that lamp post.

- Reworked the Gear Changing Ability so it's more realistic and emulates Manual Transmission behavior. Drivers will now benefit from a small temporal boost each time they change gear. The higher their skill, the higher the boost.
- Made the Meet mechanics more intuitive so people understand how to play.
- Reduced the chance of Meets not loading. I've implemented some failsafes in case it keeps happening.
- Added a new Meet on the road to Humane Labs.
- Added some new cars.
- Added ability to enter the car you bet on as passenger.
- Redefined car categories: Bigger meets (read: airports) are all about supercars, smaller meets have Tuners and Street racers. This should also make the races more balanced.

    @Manamal In gta v folder, you should have a ScriptHookVDotNet.log file that you can check for script errors.

    @Omar_DmX Hi sorry to bother you again but it says that it found Drag meets but at the bottom of scripthookvdotnet this is how it ends:

    @Manamal That's odd. Have you tried re-downloading and re-installing ScriptHookVDotNet (latest version)? I don't know that much about scripting so it's best to post this on the forums if that doesn't work.

    @Omar_DmX Yea I have the lastest version that i just downloaded but I will try again. I noticed some other people are having problems spawning the races. I am assuming it has to do with something else installed on my files. I will try downloading it again. Sucks I can't use this mod.

    @Omar_DmX I just wanted to give you an update. I did a fresh reinstall of GTAV and now this MOD works properly. I must have downloaded and install way to many vehicle MODs in my other install. Now I can drag race. This is a fun MOD. I love Grandma's Station Wagon. For people having problems with this MOD, please delete you old update.rpf and install a fresh one. :-)

    @doublel123 Yes, I did but you will lose any and all added modded cars. Then install one by one over time and keep testing Drag Meets each time to make sure the mod spawns properly.

    @doublel123 Did you replace it with a new update.rpf file from the original game file? If this does not work then I will have to suggest you to make a complete copy of the game and redo everything over again. That is what I did but you should be able to just replace the update.rpf, x64, common and all the x64a-w files. I think you may have other corrupt files, Just start fresh and then install cars one by one in the future. It is a fun MOD so it may be worth it to you. Always back up your GTA files at least once a week.

    @doublel123 It works fine. You need to do a full reinstall. You have to many modded cars conflicting with each other for the game to spawn properly. No need to wait for update.

    @Eddlm when I go to the ls air port there is only a few cars and a lot of peds then says not enough cars disbanding meet fix?
