This mod brings back the original Realistic Reload mod by CamxxCore: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/manual-reload

This is a fix for the current game version 1.0.3889.0 (Does not work on Enhanced!)
How does it work:
Once you run out of bullets, the game no longer auto-reloads your gun. You have to manually reload by pressing R. (This is the base game input so controller works too).
This is done by blocking the auto swap in CPedWeaponManager and adjusting the "wants reload" check inside CWeapon.
Install:
Copy "ManualReloadReloaded.asi" and "ManualReloadReloaded.ini" into your GTAV root directory.
Requirements:
ScriptHookV including its ASI loader (dinput8.dll)
