TwoPlayerMod [.NET] - Crash Fix
benjamin94's TwoPlayerMod [.NET] is a legend (177k downloads) but it was built for the old ScriptHookVDotNet 2 API and crashes on the current ScriptHookVDotNet. The moment you aim with player 2 the script hits a removed API call (GTA.UI.WorldToScreen) and the whole mod aborts. The same dead-API cause shows up as crashes on the loading screen and when changing settings in the menu.
This is a drop-in crash fix. It does NOT replace or modify the original mod. It loads alongside it and wraps the crashing handlers so the script stays alive.
WHAT IT FIXES
- Crash and script abort when player 2 aims or fights (the MissingMethodException for GTA.UI.WorldToScreen).
- Loading-screen and settings-menu crashes from the same cause.
- Co-op keeps working: movement, targeting, shooting, vehicles, and the menu all run. The player-2 floating health bar uses the removed API so it does not draw, but everything else is intact.
INSTALL
1. Install the original TwoPlayerMod [.NET] by benjamin94 (link below) as normal.
2. Drop TwoPlayerMod_CrashFix.dll AND 0Harmony.dll into your GTA V scripts folder next to TwoPlayerMod.dll. Leave the original untouched.
3. Full game restart. You will see a TwoPlayerMod Crash Fix loaded message.
REQUIRES the original mod by benjamin94: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/twoplayermod-net
All credit for the original mod goes to benjamin94. This is an unofficial community crash fix. Single player only. Never use in GTA Online. Not for FiveM.

@chris22622 yeah,If you plan to update regularly, upgrading and porting shvdn3 is absolutely the perfect solution
@JoyLucien 100% - if it keeps getting steady use I'll do the proper SHVDN3 port (and bring that floating health bar back with it). For now the Harmony patch keeps everyone playing without touching benjamin94's original. Appreciate the input fr 🙏
Finally. Thanks!!
@chris22622 Thanks! Keep it coming!
@William Halverd appreciate you, more on the way!
@Yunyun appreciate it, glad it got you sorted 🙏 enjoy
@chris22622 is it possible that u could port the infamous "extended camera settings" script for the enhanced/latest scripthook? yeah that script which gave a lot of customisation in the game's pause menu it was so good
also brother can u try to bring this script back too? https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/simple-script-manager#comments_tab
@Thirsty_edits appreciate the suggestion, that's outside what i'm working on right now since my focus is OnTheBlock, but i'll keep it in mind. thanks for dropping by!
@Thirsty_edits appreciate you flagging it, i'll take a look at that one when i get a sec and see what i can do.
@chris22622 alright no problem, i'd obv prefer along with a lotta ppl if these 2 scripts were updated but i get it, take ur time but god i hope these 2 scripts r soon updated 😭
@Thirsty_edits haha i feel you, appreciate the patience for real, i'll get to em when i can 🙏
@chris22622 hey man, i noticed you've updated ontheblock, so are u eventually soon gonna see about these 2 scripts?
https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/simple-script-manager#comments_tab
https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/extended-camera-settings
@Thirsty_edits yeah I saw both links. I have them on the revive list, but I do not want to promise “soon” and then leave you hanging. My current priority is OnTheBlock stability/support and keeping these crash fixes from breaking for people.
Simple Script Manager is probably the more useful one to look at first because it helps people manage messy script folders. Extended Camera Settings would need a deeper pass because pause-menu/native UI stuff can be touchy across Legacy/Enhanced. I will post on my page if I get either one loading cleanly.
@chris22622 alright understood, but dont mind me if i keep on asking for updates every week 😭 im desperate for these 2 to be working 🙏
@Thirsty_edits haha all good, keep bugging me about it 😭 appreciate the patience for real, i'll keep chipping away at these 🙏
Hey Chris, thank you for working on this, sadly once i enter a car with the second player, boom, the mod crashes, i don't know where to get the logs if they'd be helpful, but this has been happening with the original mod aswell
@omarrrio please attach ScriptHookVDotNet.log from the main GTA V folder and tell me whether you use Legacy or Enhanced. If this is OnTheBlock, include scripts/OnTheBlock_crashtrail.log or scripts/OnTheBlock/OnTheBlockDebug.log when present so i can answer from the failing line.
Hey @chris22622, i apologize for the very late reply, here is the logs that i have on the ScriptHookVDotNet.log: https://pastebin.com/FUsuYx1b
I know it ends with starting and no crash, but literally, i can no longer use the mod or control the 2nd player once they get into a car.
I use Legacy
Thank you again for your great help, sincerely appreciated
@omarrrio Thank you - this log shows the cause. TwoPlayerMod.dll starts, but TwoPlayerMod_CrashFix.dll never starts: 'Unable to resolve API version 3.9.0.' The fix was built against SHVDN 3.9.0, so the GTA V root has an older or mixed SHVDN set. Replace ScriptHookVDotNet.asi, ScriptHookVDotNet2.dll, and ScriptHookVDotNet3.dll together from the same 3.9.0 package, keep TwoPlayerMod_CrashFix.dll and 0Harmony.dll in scripts, and fully restart. You should then see 'TwoPlayerMod Crash Fix v1.1 loaded.' If vehicle control still fails after that message appears, send the new ScriptHookVDotNet.log and I will trace the next error.
