@randEm If I include an ini to turn off notifications then the chances of you seeing a Bigfoot in the game would be close to 0%.
@InfiniteQuestion Well, some of the stuff that showed on my report was actually legitimate, I checked it out but, like I said it just gives you a spectrum of minor stuff that doesn't necessarily pinpoints directly to the cause of the crash. This dude just has to keep working on it, this is on the early stages. How about you InfiniteQuestion, I know you, you and I go way back...why don't you create something like this on your own and make it work.
This is gonna be a lenghty comment in regards to this particular mod so bare with me. I feel the need to explain what's being happening with this so let me first just say, this mod has a lot of potential, it has the capacity to become or develop into something truly essential for all of us but at this early stage it seems as if it's not exactly addressing the actual problem of the crash itself. If your game crashes this mod will show you a full "crash" report but it DOES NOT addresses the actual cause of the crash because this only detects software issues and many of those issues in the report has nothing to do with the crash itself. I'll give you an example, my gaming laptop has two bad cores, they tend to heat up so I had to use ThrottleStop in order to tweak the voltage going into my cpu, to maintain those cores at an even keelish level. So sometimes, whenever a lot of activity happens in game the cpu may not handle it and crash the game, this is something that I"m aware of and this is a hardware issue not a "software" issue. This mod doesn't adress "hardware" issues, it only addresses "software" and some of those have nothing to do with the crash itself.
Don't get me wrong, all those problems shown on the Crash Analyzer report are legitimate, which means they're all true and all those minor issues on the report you can fix on your own but what I'm trying to say is that not all crashes are "software" based, some crashes are caused by hardware, your cpu or gpu not being able to handle a particular situation in the game and therefor it crashes. This mod won't give you that information, it will only give you information on "Probable" software related causes of the crash and other miscellaneous stuff. It just basically scans your entire archive in milliseconds just after the crash happens and creates a report. So again, this mod has a lot of potential but addressing little problems like missing tags in a file, texture issues and this and that and the other thing that doesn't addresses the real root cause of the problem. By the way, all the problems shown on the report are legitimate and you should fix 'em all, one by one, but you can run the game for up to two hours or longer with minor issues like that without the game crashing. Game crashes have much more serious causes and this mod doesn't necessarily pinpoints it directly. What we need is a strong crash detector that tells you immediately after a crash what caused it and it must show whether it was a software or hardware issue. This is not an easy mod to create, no wonder it hasn't been done by anyone prior and that's why I give andre500 a lot of credit for creating something like this.
Anyways, I'll give this 4 stars and I will only ask andre500 to keep working on this, this is one of a kind mod that we all need, specially if we play gta 5 pc, with a lot of potential in sight.
@Eoin Gaming I like this concept but, what if my vehicle gets shot at from outside? I don't want the windows to stay intact if someone shoots at me from outside the vehicle, that would be unrealistic. If I'm inside the vehicle and I want to shoot out then yes, it would make sense for the window to be rolled down before I shoot but, if I get shot at random from outside I do want the windows to break and shatter, I don't want bullet proof windows. So how this mod exactly works?
@M8T This works as intended the only problem is that the character still talks s**t even though I'm not in an actual combat. I was doing an NSPM mission (New Street Phone Mission) which required me to pick up bank robbers and bring them to their destination and then I'm supposed to destroy my own car afterward, that's not actual combat but, when I blew up my car with a rocket the character shouted out something like "Come kill me now" or something like that and there was nobody there. So the mod works even if you're not in combat. It's no big deal per se but, it would be nice if the mod only work in actual combat instead of like in every scenario.
@EASIN Can you fit 4 peds in this vehicle or only 2 passengers?
@logoso2020 Definitely like this mod, specially those plumes of smoke coming off vehicle's engines however is it possible to make those plumes of smoke less prominent? The fact that damaged engines produce smoke that's something I like seeing but, the plumes of smoke look way too dense. If you can make the engine smoke plumes a bit more fizzled out that'll be great. You don't even have to do an update, you can just tell me which file included in the oiv needs to be modified and what line in regards to that and I can adjust it myself unless you wanna make an update just based on my request.
@ComeFlyWithMe I don't know how soon I'll make an update on this but, once I do, I'll probably eliminate "City" coordinates and implement very secluded areas within the game for the UFO to spawn. Keep in mind that if I do a version like that the UFO will be much more difficult to spot from roads. Secluded areas I have in mind will probably include remote, dense, hilly mountainous terrain and forested regions.
@Matthew Liddell If you read the description of this mod I'm not interested on creating an "abduction" UFO script, there's one already that was made by TimelordQ and it's called "UFO Abductions of Route 68", with that mod you can get abducted by an UFO and get dropped back down from the sky, you can download that one if you want. When I created this script I only wanted to make UFOs spawn ambiently in the game at random locations, that is why is called "UFO Sightings" however I may make an update in the near future on this but it will only be minor stuff such as changes to spawning locations or something else I might want to add to it. I am currently working on other stuff, other much more complex scripts than this one that requires time and a lot of tests.
@ComeFlyWithMe When I was working on this script at the beginning I only had the UFO appear in secluded areas not around cities but, since I do missions and other stuff in the game mainly around cities I wasn't encountering these UFOs enough so I added a few coordinates around the cities so I could come across them more often. Keep in mind that I originally created this script for myself, I just decided to upload it here later. Technically I could take out the city coords and update it but I'm just gonna leave it as is for now. I'm working on a much more complex script that involves Lake Monsters and I wanna concentrate on that project for now.
