@3id awesome, that's one update i been waiting for. Thanks for your work on this
@Bluelaade it doesn't need to be updated. If you're game is not loading, it's not this plugin.
After reading the comments of others regarding this plugin, I did the same thing as a clean install basically, but for the Redux Mod.
I was running the Redux Mod along with some custom cars, and handling config.
For anyone who was running the redux mod, and came here thinking this is why it's not loading, do this.
1 -I backed up my handling.meta and dlclist.xml from the update.rpf in my mods folder. (if you're game was vanilla except for the redux mod, you won't need to do this)
2nd (and this part relates specifically to the Redux Mod) Since the redux mod requires you to copy update folder, common.rpf, x64a.rpf, and x64w.rpf from the game folder to the mod folder, I figured the update changed some of those files, so I copied them again so it would copy the updated files from the latest patch.
3 -Installed the Redux Mod as Normal, and then the redux patch.
4 -Put my custom handling.meta and dlclist.xml back in the update.rpf of the mod folder. Loaded right up.
@Rstein When I don't want to go fast, I let off the gas.
I only put it up to have a link for people who wanted it after seeing the video.
No, I didn't download because it looked white, that's why I did ask, Basing off the pictures is completely valid as the photos/videos are designed to SHOW everyone what it looks like. However, I should not have rated it until I got an answer or checked them out myself so my bad on that, fixed rating. Thanks for the swift response.
@MrOxPlay Ok, that's why i asked.
Is that white? In the video it looks like you got white & black. The North Carolina Highway Patrol scheme is Silver & Black, not white.
All the other details look spot on. Love the license plate too. Great job on that.
If it had the same silver & black scheme as the NC Highway Patrol uses, it'd be perfect.
@TheKingArmyRS I know what you mean. I've done the same thing. I've changed all the forces for the punch on my game, and have managed to make it where if you hit them when not aiming, they fly back like 50 feet. Increasing the force anymore doesn't seem to increase it anymore. Have also tried increasing the "lift" value but haven't noticed any change their either.
Glad yall updated the car sound to the voltic. I had done the same with the 6.0 version of your mod when I was tweaking the handling to suit the show and was trying to get a "turbine" sound.
My goal was to be able to use the sound from the Luxor engine as it was closer to the turbine sound in the show but I could never get it to take. It would keep defaulting to the car engine sound when i'd do it.
@Assasinge yeah i know, i mentioned it before
It'd be really nice if you would be willing to work with 3id to have this added into the Knight Rider Mod. He is willing and willing to credit. You got the car, he's got the mod. If yall could just combine it, both would be better off.
Another thought, instead of making the car a replacer, make it an add on. That way not everyone is driving KITTs (or KARRS). They'll still be in the normal Ruiner, while players can use their trainer to spawn it like we do other custom cars. It would give it the benefit of it's handling file, and other data files being seperate from the game files which is better for game updates, and car updates. No need to search through the handling.meta and update just the ruiner part, as everything pertaining to the car would be in /x64/dlcpacks/KITT (or whatever you name it.)
Anyway, great job on the car once again. Keep up the good work.
