The foundation of Vehicle Handling V is the popular 'Speed Damage Suspension'. Which has now been developed further. To be used primarily with a controller. Which in turn creates a smooth, balanced and more realistic vehicle handling experience.

Vehicles have their own individual handling line. Making each vehicle feel and behave differently.
User tests have shown Vehicle Handling V also works well with a steering wheel.

    Installation is a automatic.
Instructions are included in the 'READ ME' file

@Cass My game keeps crashing, is it because of the outdated handling.meta?

@Cass Yeah legal copy, latest update, worked fine before the update, didn't add any mods. Just updated WOV and Script Hook and the mpspecialraces.asi...

@Eyon Are you using any options?
Move mods folder to desktop and create another one in the GTA V directory. Try with just vehicle handling V.

@Eyon OK I think you may have an outdated update.rpf in the mods folder.

@Cass Can you tell me which line in handling.meta is responsible for pop-up headlights? I'm asking because I copied and edited Infernus handling lines for Infernus Classic and in game its headlights didn't pop up. They even slightly opened downwards. Same thing in Turismo classic. Can you help me?

@Cass Well, I use most of your handling data's in my add-on's for long time. I completely forgot to make a comment and rate your mod. One of the best out there! Keep on doing it and thanks for sharing.

      Just as a pointer/ question:
If the bike riding animation is too stiff is there anyway to use the counterbalance animation from when the character has a pistol equipped? If you aim your sidearm while riding, they will properly counterbalance themselves, when you're not aiming, the character just tilts with the bike like a stick.

Looks like a sweet mod! I hate the handling in GTA V for vehicles especially the motorcycles, those handle so horrible, like driving a two wheeled car lol. R* did a horrible job on the handling. They should have made the option in the menu's for arcade driving or realistic. Anyways, I got a question for you. I want to install this handling mod but I want to use vanilla car damage. I see two files "vehicle handling v.oiv" and "vanilla damage.oiv" My question is would I install both or just vanilla damage.oiv?

Amazing, it's perfectly reflect handling animation in first person

@TrustNo1 Installing the option you want not both. So install vanilla damage only.

Hey i was wondering you could or show me how to make the annihilator, savage, hydra, lazer and buzzard handle more gunfire so they last longer while being shot at. They dont last long during police dogfights and being shot at by rifles. Thanks!

@Cass There is one major thing that sets your handling meta apart from the rest and that is the body roll. I can't tell you how happy I am with this. And the monster truck handling! Holy hell is it good. The soft suspension and the manner in which they realistically stand in a wheelie under the right circumstances; wow! I got in the Dubsta 6x6 and spent a good ten minutes ruining a farmer's corn field just watching the suspension work; and another 20 minutes drifting corners in the Dukes with a serious case of GTA IV nostalgia. My only complaint is that the original damage of this mod is too little, and the extra is too much with the deformation multiplier set to 5. I would like to see each vehicle with its own personal, realistic damage setting, but I know that's a tall order. For now I just set all deformation multipliers to 3. Seriously Cass, thank you! Keep up the good work.

      Take-Two Interactive boycott.

      Why? read here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/889348-take-two-vs-modding/

Call to all modders & gamers to boycott any future title releases from Take-Two Interactive / Take2Games. This extends to videos, leaks, gameplay, info of future games that would create hype and promotion for the company. (Rockstar games & 2K are labels of Take-Two Interactive.)

It must be pointed out that Rockstar & 2K devs are not directly responsible for the Cease-and-Desist letter to the OpenIV team. It is the publisher Take-Two Interactive.
Rockstar games are creators and understand mods and have been inspired by past mods. It is important to understand the difference between the 2 entities.

This has a further reach than just the GTA community. This will have a knock on effect across the board. If gamers accept this as the status quo. It means big publishers will restrict want can be done with a game you've paid full price for. If a game is just about milking every penny. This will in turn restrict a developers creativity. Resulting in the consumers getting crappy games & servers, pre-planned paid dlc, more surveillance, more micro transactions. The next generation will accept this as the norm, as they dont know any better.

The only way to really change things is to hit them where it hurts, their pockets.

I have made my stand a year ago, as i dont like taking it up the ass.

What will you do? Take a stand or take it up the ass?

      The choice is yours.
