Changes in 1.1.0
-now supports webm videos (mp4 and other videos need codec not provided by CefSharp which is what Story NUI uses)
drop webm videos into scripts\WreckDTV\videos and they will be auto detected and you can select them, or you can add them to your channel.txt and scroll through them like any other channel.
-added the vanilla channels as the first channels
@DanJaLey hope you enjoy

You can make it so that by putting the downloaded videos in a folder, it plays them.
@marculu should be simple enough, caught me while i was still playing around with it so ill see what i can do now.
@WreckitRy I was totally blown away when I saw this release. It’s such an honor to be credited as the inspiration for WreckDTV. I never imagined our casual back-and-forth about in-game video screens would turn into such a complete, polished mod like this.
I love all the thoughtful features you’ve built in. The text-file channel setup, native GTA TV controls, built-in program guide, and per-screen saved settings all feel really natural and immersive. Being able to load custom YouTube playlists onto GTA’s in-game TVs is something so many of us in the community have wanted for ages.
Massive thanks for pouring so much time and effort into this project and sharing it with everyone. I can’t wait to grab it and start testing it out!
@DanJaLey <3 and thats the shyt that keeps me going. Thank you so much for the idea, and I'm glad you like it. Thanks to @marculu aswell because I have got local videos added pretty easily now too. Will have it packaged after a few more tests.
@WreckitRy Thank you so much for all your work👍👍👍👍😀
Is it supported to generate screens at any position without TV props?
when press f6 near tv it says No supported existing TV within controlled range, any ideas?
@pete_englishman you need to be near a tv
@WreckitRy Hey, have you considered adding a video playback seek feature to this mod in future updates? Also, could you implement mouse and keyboard input for web page control? I often run into bot verification prompts. It would be awesome if we could log into websites directly inside the game! Something similar to this: [https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/nuilight]
@WreckitRy Whenever I try to play sample videos stored in the local directory, these two log messages keep appearing:
2026-10-08T19:25:55 Player: Video format or codec unsupported; try WebM
2026-10-08T19:25:55 Player: Media unavailable or unsupported codec
@WreckitRy I am very close to it though but still the same message
@DanJaLey @pete_englishman what tv are you trying to use so i can test it, do you have Story NUI installed as well?
videos MUST be webm format
@WreckitRy It seems to be a video decoding problem. I’ve tested on multiple TV models. I tried the original example.webm, but still get an error.
@pete_englishman @DanJaLey do both of you have the latest version of Story NUI? I had to update it to support TVs
@WreckitRy The Story NUI version is the latest. Only local video files fail to play properly, but online video links work fine.
Does this work with the default story mode safehouse tv's? i keep receiving 'no supported existing TV within controlled range' even when stood directly in front of the tv. i have StoryNUI and all the other requirements
@Cbarlow158 You should add on tv model in config
