Why do people ruin what is not broken? i hate the new menu now my game is crashing and latest version ism missing files like the exe

Now i am pissed off! DO NOT DONLAOD BREAKS YOUR GAME! THis is BS i spent four hours re downlaoding gta 5 because i messed something up, then i get your mod and see your stupid little update broke my legacy game, i deleted every script you added and dlc pack and still i crash before i can even load into my game only after i downloaded your ova. WHY! Why tf do people always just always have the urge to grab something that is fine perfect even, then mess it up for no reason? It was perfectly fine before you changed everything, now looks like i gotta reinstall gta 5 because screw you. Ain't fair at all i have to wait another five hours because you.

I was wrong i got it to work but you have to download old versions ova then overwrite it with newest version

@Kaylee83 Thanks for the honest review. I'm glad you like the menu and find installing characters easy, but I think there are a few things worth clearing up.

Addon Ped Selector is meant to let you play as addon peds, but that doesn't mean every story mission will work perfectly with them. GTA V's story missions are built around Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, so some missions will still require you to switch back to the original character. Making an addon ped work like a proper reskin, where the game still recognizes the original character, is a different thing entirely.

I understand the frustration with the freezing and inventory resetting, though. Nobody wants to restart their game because they switched characters, and I agree that issues like that can ruin the experience. Those problems need to be looked at rather than simply brushed off.

As for the EXE and the AI images, I get that the design might not be everyone's taste, but that doesn't automatically mean the actual mod was made by AI. The tool's functionality and its visual design are two different things.

I'm not saying the mod is perfect, and I'm not dismissing your complaints. There are clearly things that could be better. But I also think it's important to understand that some of the story mission problems come from how GTA V handles its original characters, not necessarily because the mod itself is broken.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain what you like and what you don't. The feedback about freezing, inventory loss, and story mode compatibility is fair, and those are the kinds of issues worth focusing on.

@Kaylee83 everything people take the time to type out gets called AI nowadays 😂 I didn’t use AI to write this, I’m speaking for myself. You can respond or not, that’s up to you, but I’m not a robot.
At this point, I’m done going back and forth in the comments. All I keep seeing is people saying the mod doesn’t work or crashes their game, but nobody seems to reach out for help when my Discord server is open and active. I have 100+ mods running at the same time without freezing or crashing, so just because you’re having issues doesn’t mean everyone else is. I’m not gonna keep arguing about the same thing over and over. I’ll remove the post and stop paying attention to these comments because there’s nothing else to say.

Great clean ui but doesn't spoof as well as Jupiter's Character Swapper does, also im on enhanced and this works without issues. Im rooting for you, i hope you continue to improve this. thanks for sharing.

@Y-Axis it was never mean to work as a character swapper but i know what you mean which i can implement this yes but it was never intended to that it was just a simple script to use add-on peds and other in game peds but not offically a character swapper where inherit original character flow but thats something i can look into

@FlareXll Id use yours over jupiters if it had spoofing for sure. And it would make your mod stand out, every mod i tried fails at it except jupiters mod wich is 6 years old btw.

@FlareXII I was able to successfully install and run it. But I cannot figure out how to install a new add on ped. All YT tutorials are for older versions of your mod. Dont have discord. Any help would be appreciated

God, no matter what I do, I can't apply my skin—it keeps saying the model is invalid.

i dont know how to install peds (Minecraft Steve [Add-On Ped], specifically). where is the .oiv? there are no files on my mod folder

@FlareXll No offense, but I feel like Ped Selector has become way too overengineered for such a simple mod.

The older versions were much more straightforward. Install it, pick an addon ped, done. That's literally all most of us need.

Why all the extra stuff, like the separate "Casting File" preview panel and character customization features? We already have Menyoo, Simple Native Trainer, and plenty of other mods for that. Ped Selector never needed to be another all-in-one trainer.

And seriously, WebView2 dependencies and Borderless Windowed mode just to select a ped? That's overkill.

Btw, I've installed the latest version and everything works fine for me, but judging by the comments, plenty of users are struggling with it.

I appreciate the effort, but more features don't always mean a better mod. The old versions weren't perfect, but they were simpler and more practical. Sometimes less is more.

Just to add, I've been using Ped Selector for years, especially when filming and taking screenshots of cars in GTA V. It became one of those tools I could use almost without thinking because everything was familiar and predictable.

And don't get me wrong, I'm genuinely glad the mod is still being developed and updated to support newer game versions. That's great. I just feel like sometimes, in an attempt to improve something, developers end up overcomplicating what already worked perfectly fine.

Not every tool needs to become a Swiss Army knife. Sometimes being really good at one thing is more than enough.

Please bring back version 1.12;
it was configured correctly and did everything it was supposed to do.
