LeFix Speedometer
-development stopped-

  1. Install ScriptHookV
  2. Copy the *.asi and the LeFixSpeedo folder into the Grand Theft Auto V main folder.
  3. Please read the ingame mod info.
  4. Set the settings to your preferences:
    -Using the mod menu (Recommended, by default F10).
    -Manually by editing the .ini files (for advanced users).
bugfix: fuel hud stayed visible after driving car once, even after entering another vehicle without fuel
-reworked gear display for ikt transmission mod
(better flickering, top gear slightly red, correct when engine is off)
-mod menu info is now always visible (can be disabled)
-bugfix: GTA V update changed rpm/gear addresses
-better compatibility with ikt's Manual Transmission Mod (gear display matches 100%)
-handbrake notification as 'N' on gear display togglable now
-bugfix: speedo disappeared while driving with mouse
-bugfix: improved characterwheel detection (no more bugs using dpad)
-changed name of fuel hud pictures
(now matches the decorator name)
-fuel hud will be visible if at least one of the three decorators is modified by an external mod
-minor bugfix: 'Use high speedo' isn't saved correctly
-bugfix: didn't fade out hud when using mobile phone in helis/planes
-bugfix: HUD fades out with ikt's update of 'Manual Transmission' mod installed.
-Removed fuel setting. Auto-detects if external fuel mod shares its data.
-bugfix: didn't switched to next speedo background if max velocity is reached
-added shift up/down indicator (pictures and flashing gear/leds)
-got rid of gameversion setting
-bugfix: acceleration time not displayed properly
(digit gap was dependent of screen resolution)
-bugfix: gear showed desired gear
(almost always same value as current gear)
-gear isn't an estimation anymore
-updated to latest version of ScriptHookV
-added fuel test.asi and source
-bugfix: only deacceleration test worked
-added acceleration test
bugfix: white damage indicator
-added support of Smart Fuel Mod V [Pertamina] Mod
-added three real life brands as example
-changed size of brand images (same as speedo background now)
-more brand logos
-bugfix: couldn't navigate in 'Toggle HUD'
-bugfix: wrong needle rotation
-changed default background of muscle cars back to 180mph
-brand logo added
-cleaned mod menu
-finished reorganisation of inis
-better support for vehicle mods

    @LeFix Yes, I am currently designing my way around in the way you suggested. Your changes sound interesting and would be willing to test a preview of new version. I'll show some pics of what I've done later today.

    I could do this, but I don't have the time to do so currently. But I recommend you to edit the images of the speedo. Make a copy of NeedleBigA.png and replace NeedleBigB.png, also you can edit textMph.png with a editor (don't delete the file!) and delete the MPH text. Then your map isn't covered by the speedo anymore.

    only got one problem with the mod.. when i have the rpm meter in screen. next or on top of the km/h meter. the needle of the rpm are all the way to max. it doesn't move or anything.. any tips?

    @CodeXon The picture cannot be found there. Your installation is wrong.
    @Witefala Which gameversion do you have (visible at the right bottom corner, just a moment after starting gta v)
    @officercornish did you try my suggestions? You can test my preview of the next update of my simple fuel mod, it includes a fuel indicator bar and the option to disable sharing the fuel value so it doesn't appear on the speedo mod. Then you can show fuel, rpm, speed values without covering the map and without graphics which are intended to be at the right bottom corner.

    just one question: how to i assign brand logos to add on cars? Do i have to specify a brand in that car's vehicles.meta? Thats what I'd think i need to do anyway

    @skarmx2 No, open the mod menu and while selecting the brand option you can see a subtitle with the current liveryname and the brand which is assigned to it. Write down the liveryname. Go to settingsBrand.ini and add it. The Example should be self-explanatory:



    Now make sure that there is picture called Porsche.png at LeFixSpeedo\Brands\
    As far as I know the pixel size is not improtant but the ratio (1:1)

    With this method you can change any brand of any vehicle

    I would still like analogue fuel and revs if possible, but the indicator bar sounds interesting...

    @LeFix haha thanks, but i figured it out myself anyway. Needed a brand for Ferrari, so i got a ferrari logo, made it 1:1 and put it into the brands folder. I just assigned Ferrari brand and the car i needed was already Ferrari branded, so it loaded the pic fine!

    it seems that the benny's cars have their max RPM limit at 6, i checked your max rpm ini file and noticed that i dont spot those cars there, i know you have stopped development for this mod, but can someone give me some pointers on how to manually add those cars into it myself to fix their rpm limit?
