@Slick_Nick
Are you meeting this step?
3. Latest Script Hook V .Net Enhanced by Chiheb-Bacha.
@Slick_Nick
I literally just tested it, and every version works for me, including 1.0, v1.1, and v1.2, which I haven't released yet.
Check the information below carefully:
Required files:
1. The latest original version of the game.
2. Latest Script Hook V by Alexander Blade.
3. Latest Script Hook V .Net Enhanced by Chiheb-Bacha.
* Latest Script Hook V .Net Enhanced by Chiheb-Bacha also works for Legacy versions.
Installation:
Copy / drag all contents of the extracted "Better_And_Realistic_Vehicle_Options_With_Control.zip" to the scripts folder.
* If you don't have a scripts folder, create it in your GTA V game folder.
* I do not guarantee support or proper operation for downgraded or non-genuine versions of the game.
If the script is not working for you, it is probably due to one of the following reasons:
a) My script is not installed correctly.
b) The required additional files are missing and not installed correctly.
c) You do not have the latest versions of the additional files required for operation.
d) Non-genuine version of the game and you are not using the latest version of the game.
e) You are using different scripts, files, and hooks that conflict with each other.
f) If you have Windows 11 & NVME SSD & DX12U GPU, you are missing DirectStorageFix.
g) There has been an update to GTA V that has currently broken the operation of scripts and you also need to wait for the update of Latest Script Hook V by Alexander and Script Hook V .Net Enhanced by Chiheb-Bacha to fix it and make it possible again.
h) There may be a problem or error on my end / script, but it needs to be thoroughly communicated and tested - not just "it doesn't work." In 99% of cases, the same faulty behavior and crash, if it exists, can be reproduced. If it's confirmed in a documented manner, I promise to work on it to fix it.
@Violent__Nomad
Unfortunately, I cannot help you with compatibility with the rage plugin hook :(
@MurdockTitanium
v1.2 will be better in this regard - I've already added the ability to disable this delay, etc., completely if anyone doesn't want it. Please give me a little more time - I hope to finally release v1.2 in August. I meant to do this a long time ago, but I couldn't find the time to finish it.
@SlouchingToast
The most important thing is that it works and I'm happy :)

Make sure you meet these requirements and have the appropriate files:
Required files:
1. The latest original version of the game.
2. Latest Script Hook V by Alexander Blade.
3. Latest Script Hook V .Net Enhanced by Chiheb-Bacha.
* Latest Script Hook V .Net Enhanced by Chiheb-Bacha also works for Legacy versions.
If you're using the nightly version v3.7.0-nightly.114 or above from Kagikn directly, it won't work. It also won't work if you have other hooks and scripts that conflict with each other.
v3.7.0-nightly.113 for legacy Kagikn is the last stable version with scripts, but it's still recommended to use the Chiheb-Bacha version.

The default behavior in GTA 5 only allows you to exit a vehicle with the engine off, regardless of whether you press it briefly or long - it will always turn the engine off.
The script doesn't affect which key you use for this purpose.
The script only affects the ability to exit a vehicle with the engine on or off, depending on how briefly or long you press the key.
It still doesn't affect which key you use. You can change it directly in-game if you want. The script only changes the behavior, not the button assignment.
You can also manually start and turn the engine off using another key.
If you're recording gameplay, you won't notice a difference.
These are the options for everyone, whatever suits their needs :)
@wvssuptokyo
Yes, the key is the same as the default.
In the .ini file, you can set how long to hold down the key.
When enabled:
Short = engine on when exiting
Long (time in .ini) = engine off when exiting
@wvssuptokyo
Very thanks :)
@wvssuptokyo
Hello
"You should have the option to let the engine run when we exit."
What would that look like? From what I understand and how I'm explaining it, it already works. You can exit the vehicle with the engine on or off, but maybe you're talking about something else and I'm reading it wrong.
I'll try to add an animation for version v1.3 or v1.4.
My current goal is to finally ship v1.2, which will also include a readme file with possible keybindings, etc.
@CyJJ
From version v3.7.0-nightly.114 upwards it may not work. v3.7.0-nightly.113 is the last reliable nightly version that does not break the scripting API :)
