This mod lowers the damage limitations that were added for vehicles to prevent clipping in first person, so instead of doors being un-deformable they can now bend/deform more freely.
Known issues:
Sometimes vehicle damage resets when getting out of a car.
How to install:
Just drag ogd3d9.dll and d3d9.dll into your GTA V directory.
Notice: Some anti-virus tools may report false positives due to the nature of DLL-based game modifications. This is expected for this type of mod and is not indicative of a file infected with a virus.

@anon23623 Enhanced uses a different Direct3D version and I don't know how it works, maybe if I figure it out down the line I'll try make a version for enhanced.

@sparklingspacess Excellent idea! I've been waiting for someone to free this feature from ENB! Unfortunately, it seems to make my game crash on startup. Is it possible to get this working without hijacking D3D9? Or maybe my playing on DX11 is what's causing it. Hopefully this can be addressed!
@Hydraxonn It hijacks d3d9 since d3d9 is still for some reason loaded by the game even though it doesn't use it. I'm also using DX11 and I don't experience a crash, what version of legacy are you playing on? I use steam.
@sparklingspacess 3337, also from steam. I've tried messing around with the ogd3d9.dll file, replacing it with the d3d9.dll and d3d11.dll from System32 (renamed to ogd3d9.dl) and unfortunately, still no luck.
From checking 'Product Version' in my GTA5.exe's metadata my game version is 3788. The crash is likely due to an invalid pattern. If I can trace the problem I'll release a hotfix to check for older game versions, in the meantime try a newer version of the game.

@sparklingspacess Damn, that was fast! The game launches now, but I get a message window on startup that says "unknown/incompatible game version. Some aspects have been disabled for compatibility, main functionality still active." That's definitely progress! If I may, what did you have to disable?
@Hydraxonn I disabled a thing within the code that sets some flag in the game, I don't know what the flag is but it seems to make a SLIGHT difference in door deformation and also disabled the player vehicle deformation multiplier. You shouldn't really notice a difference except the player vehicle just not deforming as easily.
@sparklingspacess Works pretty well! I think the door and cabin deformation is still a bit limited on older game versions without that flag, but its certainly leagues better! The only thing I'd like to see changed is the message window on startup for older game version compatibility. Can that be changed to just a log file, or removed entriely? Messes up my Full Screen on launch lol
